The volunteer committee that selects which projects will receive grants from CFKA is now seeking new members with a background in any of the following: Children's Mental Health, Social Services, Youth, Arts & Culture, Environment, or Heritage. Members of the committee are expected to participate in the review process of at least one grant round a year. To be considered for an interview, please send your resume to email@example.com. More information about the CFKA Community Grants Program: www.cfka.org/community-grants.
The general process is explained during the initial meeting, and committee members receive a detailed manual and participate in an orientation session. New committee members are teamed up with more experienced members during the first several grant rounds.
The in-depth reviews are done at home. Members meet in small teams before the general review meeting. At the moment, the two review meetings are usually on Monday mornings, but this is subject to change.
